It took several months for Wistaria's Patient Comfort Station to complete all of the fidget quilts requested for our local students in the 2025-2026 school year. These quilts are used to calm children with autism and ADHD when they are experiencing stress overload. Wistaria provided 28 quilts to Denair Unified School District and to Walter White Elementary School in Ceres.

CHRISTMAS TIME DONATIONS
During the past several years, Wistaria Chapter fulfilled requests for toys and pajamas for foster children in the care of Sierra Vista Child & Family Services, as well as requests for coats, toys, bikes, car seats, and food to Westside Ministries, a non-profit agency working with some of the neediest of our local children.
So many pajamas, coats, toys, bikes, car seats and food items donated in December 2023 that they required multiple trips to deliver to Sierra Vista and Westside Ministries for local kids ... now these are the kind of problems we all should have in our charitable projects!
FOOD DELIVERIES
Throughout the year, we are in contact with local vendors to arrange the pickup and delivery of food to Westside Ministries, Haven's Women Center, and local food banks. This is in addition to Wistaria members donating food items with their personal resources.
HALLOWEEN FUN
Wistaria members are blessed to have our daily needs met; however, some of the children in our area are not so fortunate. At Halloween we were asked to provide goodies for local foster children. The response from Wistaria members filled an SUV with candy, games, and treats. These goodies were delivered to Sierra Vista Child & Family Services so that their outing at Dutch Hollow Farms would be special. The foster children along with their resource parents and the other children in their foster homes had a wonderful day of fun!
KEYES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARY
Our members are always looking for ways to be Paying Goodness Forward, and we found a fantastic opportunity to do so. A private school was closing its doors, and no one wanted their library of children's books! They were days away from the trash when we swooped in to rescue many of the books. Someone, somewhere certainly would want children's books.
We began culling the books and reaching out for possible recipients. After several months we got in touch with Keyes Elementary School District and found out they did not have an on site library and wanted the books. The donation totaled 4,404 books.
They were so excited that they created a library for the children to use. How amazing!
